NEW LONDON, N.H. – October 5, 2015 – The Colby-Sawyer College women's tennis team completed its fourth straight undefeated season in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) East Division and earned the top seed in this year's tournament.

Colby-Sawyer, the three-time defending champions, will host the NEAC East Division Women's Tennis Championship Tournament on Saturday, October 10.
Colby-Sawyer finished the regular season a perfect 7-0 in conference play and 12-2 overall. The Chargers will square off against the No. 4 seed, Johnson State (6-6 overall, 4-3 NEAC East). Castleton (9-2, 5-2) earned the No. 2 seed and will take on No. 3 Husson (6-2, 5-2).
NAC predetermined tiebreaking procedures were used to seed teams with identical conference winning percentages.
The semifinal round will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the winners meeting in the final round an hour after the opening matches are complete. Please note, all dates and times are tentative and subject to change due to inclement weather.
The NEAC East champion will take on NEAC West champion, which will be decided in spring 2016. The date of the crossover championship is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 7, in the Albany, N.Y. area to determine the conference champion. The overall champion will then receive an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship.

Beginning with the 2010 season, the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) partnered with the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) in the sports of men's and women's tennis. The NAC will compete as associate members of the NEAC in women's tennis, while the NEAC will compete as associate members of the NAC in men's tennis. Members from each conference will be divided into an East (NAC) and West (NEAC) Division for each sport, with each division holding a championship and the two divisional champions then facing off to determine the conference champion. The conference winner for each sport will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championships.
