JOHNSON, Vt. - October 11, 2015 - The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team rolled to a 5-1 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) victory over Johnson State on Sunday afternoon.
The Chargers have won six straight and improved to 8-2-2 overall and 6-0 in the NAC. The team will step out of conference for a Wednesday match at home against UMass Boston. Johnson State falls to 4-9 overall and 2-5 in the league.
Dominique Papa scored twice for the Chargers, while
Rachel Quaye,
Nell McQueeney and
Natalie Ellard each added single goals.
Karley Hamilton earned the win for the Chargers in 82 minutes of action with two saves.
Oona Bond played the remaining eight minutes. Nichole Weeks made 10 saves for the Badgers.
The Chargers had a 26-5 advantage in shots and took 11 corner kicks, while Johnson State did not take any.
