NEW LONDON, N.H. - Sunday, September 14 – On Sunday the Colby-Sawyer College Men's Rugby program had several firsts in the programs sixteen years of existence.    This was the first time the Chargers played on the newly assigned rugby pitch on Mercer Field.  It also marks the first NERFU match that newly appointed Head Coach Jim Howell was commanding the squad.  With just shy of 200 fans at the new pitch the Chargers welcomed the 2013 National Runner-up, also a first.
 
Most of the first 30 minutes was spent chasing the New England College Pilgrims all over the pitch.  In the second half the Chargers found their footing and started executing offensively and ramped up the defense to slow down the visitors.

The Men will HOST Fitchburg State (MA) for a Sunday morning match on September 28^th at 11am on Mercier Field.
