Box Score NEW LONDON, N.H. – November 9, 2013 – The Colby-Sawyer College women's soccer team earned its first conference championship in program history with a 1-0 win over three-time defending champion, Castleton in Saturday's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) title match.

Colby-Sawyer recorded its 17th shutout of the season and improved to 19-3. Castleton drops to 13-8-1.
The lone goal of the contest came at 24:40 when Colby-Sawyer senior
Stephanie Huntley (Woodbury, Conn.) sent a cross into the six-yard box that struck a defender and went past the Castleton keeper.
The Chargers controlled possession in the first half and outshot Castleton 10-3. Colby-Sawyer's best chance of the stanza came seven minutes in when senior
Adrienne Bender (Wakefield, R.I.) found space and ripped a shot over the keeper that deflected off the crossbar.
The second half was evenly played with each side having multiple scoring chances. Early in the frame, Castleton had an opportunity to find the equalizer. NAC Rookie of the Year Dominique Valancius (Massena, N.Y.) dribbled into the scoring area and fired a shot but was denied by a heady save from sophomore keeper
Karley Hamilton (Bradford, Vt.). Hamilton had to make one more save late in the half, but was up to the task to preserve the title.
Hamilton made three saves for the Chargers en route to her 16th clean sheet of the season. Castleton keeper Jessica Binkowski (Goshen, Conn.) had six stops in the loss.
