Colby-Sawyer College 35
Brandeis University 11
NEW LONDON, NH - September, 30, 2012 - A typical slow start for Colby-Sawyer had them playing catch-up in the first half and needing to defend heavily against the coordinated attacks of Brandeis. Chargers were able to take advantage of penalties and the foot of Geordy Hale, who slotted 2 PKs on top of a rumbling try by freshman Patrick Marrazzo to put Colby-Sawyer slightly head 11 – 8 at the half.
Sophomore Jordan Patten joined the forwards at flanker for the second half and quickly made his presence known. Fresh legs and very hard work with fellow flanker Aaron Hodge and second row players Jimmy Vollkommer and Luke Kalvaitis created massive turn over opportunities for the Chargers and had the Judges backing up for the next 40 minutes. Chargers take the win 35 – 11.
