FARMINGTON, Maine - September 29, 2012 - The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team compiled 57 service aces in a pair of 3-0 wins over Lyndon and Johnson in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play on Saturday.
The Chargers improve to 8-9 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The team had 24 aces in the 25-9, 25-8, 25-16 win over Lyndon and followed with 33 aces in the 25-2, 25-8, 25-9 win over Johnson. The 33 aces tied the Colby-Sawyer single match mark set on October 1, 2003 against Anna Maria.

Jackie Keating (Marshfield, Mass.) had nine kills as the Chargers defeated the Hornets.
The Chargers were powered by a .373 hitting percentage (38 kills-13 errors-67 attacks) and 24 service aces.
Stephanie Vecchio (Shelter Island, N.Y.) notched seven kills and a team-high nine aces in the victory, while
Laura Smolinski (Hebron, Conn.) handed out 31 assists.
A trio of Hornets each recorded a pair of kills, while Jessica Walsh (North Kingston, R.I.) led Lyndon in digs with four.

Colby-Sawyer completed its sweep of Saturday's NAC matches with a 3-0 rout of Johnson State.
The Chargers were once again strong on the attack (.375 hitting percentage, 20-5-40) and service (33 aces).
Kelsey McCulley (Southhampton, N.Y.) and
Kelsey Sullivan (Laconia, N.H.) paced a balanced Colby-Sawyer attack with four kills each with
Sarah Hannon (Pocasset, Mass.) providing a match-best nine aces.
Courtney O'Hara (Mystic, Conn.) and Vecchio each recorded seven service aces for the Chargers.
Colby-Sawyer will step out of conference play to host Middlebury on Wednesday at 7:00 pm. The teams last met in the 2011 NCAA Tournament.
