BRUNSWICK, Maine - September 24, 2011 - The Colby-Sawyer volleyball team split a pair of matches on day two of the Midcoast Classic hosted by Bowdoin. The Chargers began the day with a 3-1 victory over Rivier, but fell to Bates 3-0 in the second match.

The Chargers are now 7-9 on the season and will travel to Plymouth on Tuesday for a 6:00pm match against the Panthers.
Colby Sawyer beat Rivier by scores of 25-16, 16-25, 25-20, and 25-14.
Emilee McBride led the team with 10 kills, while
Ally Le-Bruno tallied 18 digs.
Bates earned the 3-0 sweep by scores of 25-19, 25-16, and 25-16.
Kristin Sawyer and
Ally Le-Bruno were named to the Midcoast Volleyball Classic All-Tournament Team.
