NEW LONDON, N.H. – November 2, 2011 –  Nichols held to their game plan of keeping #10 Peter Edson and the Chargers backline out of the action.  Short phase, ruck ball by the Bison saw them with a higher ball retention rate than CSC for most of the match.  Excellent defensive efforts from the entire Chargers forward pack held Nichols to just 4 trys.
 
Some exciting runs from Peter Edson, Michael Bacote, Mike Staton and Jacob Tibenkana gave the fans a thrill and provided some opportunity for additional scoring but the Chargers couldn't adapt quickly enough to generate the consistent offensive pressure needed to get the job done. 
 
Final Score: Colby-Sawyer 10 – Nichols College 24.  Chargers end the season as D4 North Conference Champion with a 6-1- 0 record.  Nichols College advance to the Championship and will face #2 Westfield State University this weekend.
 
Golden Boot awarded to Junior Mike Bennett for high work rate, crashing runs and big defensive tackles.  All coming after 3 weeks off due to injury.
 
The entire Colby-Sawyer Team, led by Captain Peter Edson, presented Nichols Flanker #7 Mike Ricci with a Man of the Match award.
