Men's Swimming and Diving Outswims Nor'Easters

NEW LONDON, N.H. - January 29, 2011 - The Colby-Sawyer men's swimming and diving team earned their second head to head victory of the season. The Chargers outscored the University of New England 164-82.

The Chargers posted wins in 11 of the 16 events on the day including freshman Keenan Bartlett placing first in three events. Bartlett won the 200 yard and the 500 yard freestyles with times of 1:58.92  and 5:35.12, respectively. He also helped the 200 yard medley team to a first place finish (1:52.12).

Freshman Eric Foulds and sophomore Jimmy Montanari both qualified for the New England Championships. Foulds qualified in the 50 yard backstroke and Montanari qualified in the 50, 100 and 200 yard freestyles.

Colby-Sawyer returns to the pool February 5 when they host the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth. Events will begin at 1:00pm.
