QUINCY, Mass. - September 29, 2010 - The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team earned a quick 3-0 sweep over Eastern Nazarene on Wednesday night. The Chargers improve to 9-6 overall and 3-0 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.
The Chargers, who hit .450 as a team, won by scores of 25-8, 25-13 and 25-13.
Senior
Michelle Doody led all players with 12 kills and added 11 digs and four aces. Junior setter
Kristin Sawyer tallied 21 assists.
Freshman
Emilee McBride played well with eight kills and two blocks in the win.
Stef Turner hit .640 with 10 kills, two blocks and three aces.
The Chargers play an important tri-match at Roger Williams on Saturday. Colby-Sawyer will play Salve Regina at 1:00 pm and then the host Hawks at 3:00 pm.
