Women's Tennis Falls to Salve Regina, 7-2

NEWPORT, R.I. - September 25, 2010 - The Colby-Sawyer women's tennis team suffered their second loss of the season on Saturday to The Commonwealth Coast Conference foe Salve Regina. The Seahawks won the match 7-2 and improve to 6-1 overall and in the conference. The Chargers drop to 6-2 overall and 5-2 in the TCCC.

Sophomore Claire Toffey (Barnstable, Mass.) was responsible for the lone singles match for the Chargers at the third flight. Toffey also had a say in the team's second point. She and freshman Liz Lincoln (Plymouth, Mass.) won their No. 1 doubles match 8-5.

The team returns to action on Tuesday with a non-conference tilt with Plymouth State at 4:00 pm.
