NEW LONDON, N.H. – September 21, 2010 – The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team earned their third straight 3-0 sweep after defeating Gordon on Tuesday night. Colby-Sawyer improves to 6-4 overall and 2-0 in the conference, while Gordon falls to 0-13 overall and 0-3 in TCCC play.
Colby-Sawyer won by scores of 25-14, 25-15, and 25-12.
Michelle Doody (Franklin, Mass.) and Courtney O'Hara (Mystic, Conn.) each had eight kills for the home team. Doody added a team best 13 digs.
Kristin Sawyer (Walpole, Mass.) had 23 assists, seven digs and five aces.
Gordon was led by Lauren Kranyak who had six kills and 10 digs. Keri Hustus added a match-high 17 digs.
Colby-Sawyer will host Norwich at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Gordon will play at the Green Mountain Invitational on Saturday.
