Women's Tennis Wins Season Opener Against Castleton State, 6-3

NEW LONDON, N.H. - September 1, 2010 - The Colby-Sawyer women's tennis team earned a 6-3 victory in the season opener over Castleton State.

Freshmen Stephanie Carlsson and Liz Lincoln recorded their first collegiate victories at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively. Lincoln also picked up a win at No. 2 doubles with teammate Claire Toffey.

The Chargers travel to Western New England on Thursday for a 3:30pm conference tilt with the Golden Bears. Castleton has a neutral site match on Saturday against UMass-Boston at 1:00 pm.
