Swimming & Diving Splits Against Norwich

NEW LONDON, N.H. - November 13, 2010 - The Colby-Sawyer men's and women's swimming & diving teams hosted the Cadets of Norwich on Saturday afternoon. The women earned a 146-104 victory, while the men came up short and were defeated 192-78.

Leading the women's side was Erin Dunican who started the afternoon with a second place finish in the 50 breaststroke in 33.89. She then won the 50 freestyle in a time of 27.07.

Morgan Parker also swam well for the women with a victory in the 50 backstroke at 32.97. Parker then won the 100 backstroke in 1:13.25 edging the second place finisher by less than half of a second.

Ari Marks placed second in the 1000 freestyle in 13:19.61. She earned a victory over five other competitors in the 500 freestyle by touching the wall first at 6:19.03.

Parker, Dunican, Marks and Kat Donohue teamed for a first place in the 200 medley relay.

Highlighting the men's side was Owen Worden. He began with a second place finish in the 200 freestyle at 2:01.95. He also finished second in the 100 freestyle (54.28) and the 100 IM (1:02.92).
