Volleyball to Host Breast Cancer Fund Raising Match

NEW LONDON, N.H. - October 4, 2010 - The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team will host its annual Dig Pink match to raise money for breast cancer research. The match will be held Tuesday October 5th at 7:00pm versus Endicott College.

The Chargers will sport pink uniforms and the coaching and support staff will be dressed in pink as well. Admission for the event will be $4 for adults, $2 for non-CSC students and free for CSC students and children under 12. Pink t-shirts, pink bracelets and pink breast cancer ribbons will be on sale. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center (NCCC) located at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, N.H. The NCCC will have a table set up at the match to give out information about their facilities and research.

Last year the volleyball program was able to raise $1,000 to donate to the NCCC. The goal this year is to surpass last year's donation and raise $1500.
