COLCHESTER, Vt. - November 8, 2009 - The Colby-Sawyer women's swimming and diving team lost to division II foe Saint Michael's, 161-102 at the Ross Sports Center Pool, on Sunday afternoon.

The Chargers were led by freshman Gabrielle Velez (Arlington, Mass.) who earned her third straight victory in the 50 freestyle, touching the wall at 27.52. Senior Stephanie Smith (Georgetown, Mass.) won the 50 butterfly in a time of 31.00.

The Chargers will return to action on Saturday when they will travel to Norwich University. The meet begins at 1:00 p.m.
