NEW LONDON, N.H. – November 21, 2009 - The Colby-Sawyer men's swimming and diving team dropped a 145-96 decision to Elms College, on Saturday afternoon at Knight Natatorium. The men will compete next at the TCCC Invitational on December 4-5 held at Roger Williams University.
Sophomore
Owen Worden (New Bedford, Mass.) had a great meet to lead the Chargers. He recorded season best times in the 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke and the 200 IM. Worden placed second in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:10.98, while finishing second in the IM at 2:16.58. He earned a victory in the 200 breaststroke touching the wall first at 2:35.03.
Senior
Dave Mikita (Ansonia, Conn.) also performed well with solid scoring dives in the 1 meter and 3 meter events. Sophomore
Ryan Sloss (Cumberland, R.I.) picked up two victories in the 50 and 100 backstroke events.
