NEW LONDON, N.H. – October 6, 2009- The Colby-Sawyer women's tennis team swept the Colonels of Curry, 9-0 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference action, on Tuesday afternoon. The Chargers improve to 11-1 overall and 9-1 in the TCCC. Curry drops to 4-11 overall and 3-7 in TCCC play.

Jen LaChance (Killingworth, Conn.) and junior
Hannah White (Stockbridge, Mass.). The duo has won five straight matches and is 7-1 this season. White also breezed to her sixth consecutive singles victory by a 6-0, 6-0 score at the No. 2 flight.
Freshman
Claire Toffey (Barnstable, Mass.) stepped into the No. 3 singles slot once again this afternoon and defeated Kathleen Rush 6-4, 6-1. Toffey is a perfect 4-0 at the third flight and added a ninth doubles victory to her total with an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles.
Colby-Sawyer will host Castleton State on Friday, October 9 at 4:00 pm. The Chargers will then finish TCCC play on Saturday at Anna Maria. Curry completes their regular season at Western New England on Saturday.
