Women's Tennis Secures Home Court Throughout Playoffs

WACHUSETT, Mass. - October 10, 2009 - The Colby-Sawyer women's tennis team secured the No. 1 seed and home court advantage throughout the TCCC playoffs with a 9-0 win at Anna Maria, in the regular season TCCC finale.

The win improves the Chargers' overall record to 12-1 and TCCC record to 10-1. Anna Maria falls to 3-12 overall and 1-10 in conference play in their first season.

The Chargers will host Wentworth on Tuesday, October 13 for a TCCC quarterfinal match.

The Chargers breezed to a 9-0 victory dropping just four total games in the entire match. Sophomores Nikki Humphrey (Little Compton, R.I.) and Katie Terrien (Colchester, Vt.) earned 6-0, 6-0 sweeps at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
