Jinnae Jang set a record in the 100 butterfly to highlight the Chargers' performances on the first day of the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) New England Championships held at the University of Rhode Island. 
Jang's record setting performance came in the prelims of the 100 butterfly. She came away with the new fastest time of 1:02.48 to beat the previous mark of 1:02.84 set by Emma Nagle in 2014. She placed ninth in the prelims. She then clocked in at 1:02.83 in the B Final. On the second day of competition, Jang collected an All-NEISDA award in the 50 butterfly. She recorded a prelim time of 27.62 and then finished sixth in the finals with a time of 27.69. She also turned in an All-NEISDA effort on the final day of the championship in the 50 backstroke. She was in sixth place in the prelims at 29.16 and lowered her time to 29.03 to finish sixth.
