Emily Dewdney

Emily Dewdney was designated Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) in the fall of 2020. 

The NCAA defines the designation of the SWA to promote meaningful representation of women in the leadership and management of college sports.
 
As the SWA, Dewdney will provide a diverse point of contact for student-athletes and staff on the senior leadership team of the department. The NCAA created the role of the SWA to be a visual presence and a role model for those student-athletes looking for a leadership position in college sports. Dewdney is in her second year as the head coach of the Colby-Sawyer field hockey and lacrosse programs after spending the previous eight seasons as an assistant for each team. She is a 2010 graduate of Allegheny College with a Bachelor's in Women's Studies.

A 2010 graduate of Allegheny College with a Bachelor's in Women's Studies, Dewdney played four years for the women's lacrosse team, which was regionally ranked. She earned NCAC First-Team accolades as one of the league's top defenders.  

The New London, N.H. native is a graduate of nearby Kimball Union Academy.

Dewdney, who is a Certified Personal Trainer, lives in Sunapee with her husband and two Australian Shepherds.
