On July 1st, Director of Athletics Jeanette McKillop announced the hiring of Courtney Lampert '18 as the strength, conditioning and performance coach at Colby-Sawyer. This new position at Colby-Sawyer will be in charge of coordinating the varsity weight room, mentoring graduate fellows and working with coaches and respective teams.Â
"We are extremely excited to welcome Courtney into this position", said McKillop. "She has been an integral part of Colby-Sawyer from being a student-athlete to assistant coach to now the strength, conditioning and performance coach. She is knowledgeable and passionate and will provide our student-athletes with the much needed support in all aspects of performance."
Lampert elevates into this role following being a strength and conditioning graduate fellow for the 2023-24 season working with the field hockey, women's tennis, men's tennis, women's basketball and women's lacrosse programs.Â
"I want to thank Jen McKillop and former interm athletic director Tom White for their support in the development of this role as well as their trust in me to lead our strength and conditioning program", said Lampert. "As a Colby-Sawyer alumni I am honored to continue working with our student-athletes in an even greater capacity and look forward to building on the legacy of hard work, teamwork, growth, and success of the Charger athletics."
Lampert will also continue to be a part of the women's lacrosse coaching staff and will be entering her fifth season on staff under Emily Dewdney.Â
Lampert is a 2018 graduate of Colby-Sawyer College with a bachelor's degree in nursing. In 2024 Courtney graduated with her masters of exercise science.
Lampert was a four-year member of the women's lacrosse team and was one of the program's top defenders in history. In her career Courtney started 53 games, securing 59 ground balls and causing 31 turnovers. Lampert helped the Chargers make the NAC Championship for the first time in 2016 as well as making another appearance in 2018. Lampert was a two-time NAC All-Conference selection making the second team in 2017, before making the first team in 2018.Â
