Wilson Perez

Head Coach Wilson Perez, a native of Newmarket, N.H. and former Keene State cross country and track athlete, will lead the Colby-Sawyer men's and women's cross country teams for the fourth straight season in 2011. After competing as a club team in 2008, Wilson and the Chargers have been competing at the varsity level since 2009.

Last season the men placed sixth, while the women placed seventh at the TCCC Championships held at Roger Williams.

In Colby-Sawyer's first season competing at the varsity level, the Chargers continued to improve and surpass their personal bests race by race. Coach Perez was happy with the progress throughout the season and hopes for continued success in 2011.

An eight-time All-American at Keene State in cross country and track, Perez is in charge of all aspects of the cross country program. He led Keene State to second place finishes at the 1999 and 2000 NCAA cross country championships and finished second in the indoor 5,000-meter his sophomore year and second in the outdoor 10,000 race his senior year. Also in 2000, Perez was a New England Division III Cross Country Champion.

Perez is a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach.

Coach Perez currently resides in Keene, NH with wife Rebecca.
