Alan Maynard


Alan started at Colby-Sawyer College in fall of 2024. As an athletic trainer, Alan has served patients from high school to NCAA D1, D2, and D3. He is a graduate of Canisius University having dual majored in sports medicine and physical education. He then attended the University of Virginia for his graduate studies in sports medicine and served as a graduate assistant with UVA athletics. Alan then landed Tampa Florida and served as athletic trainer, then head athletic trainer while also teaching athletic training classes at the University of Tampa.

Following his stint in the sunshine state, he moved back to the Northeast to the University of Vermont where he served many roles over more than two decades including men's basketball athletic trainer, athletic training education program director, chairperson of the UVM president's commission for inclusive excellence, and clinical professor of public health. Most recently, Alan was at Vermont State University Johnson where he served as an athletic trainer and associate coach for the Badger's women's basketball team. 


Alan and his wife Christy live in Lebanon, NH and have two children, Dahlia and Payton.Â
