Emily Dewdney enters year seven at Colby-Sawyer College as the head coach of the field hockey program and is the second coach in program history.  Dewdney also continues to be the women's lacrosse coach at Colby-Sawyer heading into her eighth year in 2025-26. 

The Chargers made it to their second GNAC Championship in three years during the 2025 season after a 12-7 record and a 8-2 GNAC record. Colby-Sawyer advanced to the Championships after defeating USJ in the Quarterfinals, followed by upsetting Saint Joseph's College of Maine on the road in the Semifinals. The Chargers would fall to Dean College in the GNAC Championship. This year, Dewdney became the program's leader in win as she sits at 75. Emily coached six GNAC All-Conference, and the GNAC Offensive Player of the Year.

The Chargers made it back to the GNAC Championship in 2023 after a 14-5 record and a 9-3 GNAC record. Colby-Sawyer advanced to the championship after defeating Rivier in the GNAC Quarterfinals and upsetting Lasell in the GNAC Semifinals. The Chargers would eventually fall to Johnson & Wales in the GNAC Championship game. This year Dewdney surpassed 50 career wins for Colby-Sawyer. Emily coached seven GNAC All-Conference selections, three NFHCA Scholars of Distinction and four CSC Academic All-District members. 


In 2022, the Chargers had another successful season going 13-6 overall including a 8-3 GNAC record. Colby-Sawyer finished the year in the GNAC Semi-Finals after defeating Rivier University in the first round before falling to eventual GNAC Champion Johnson & Wales University.

In 2021, Dewdney led the Chargers into the best season in program history finishing the season with a 16-4 overall record and finishing as the GNAC regular season champion and GNAC runner up. Dewdney was also named the GNAC Coach of the Year in 2021 for her record-setting season.

Under her direction, six student-athlete has been named to the All-GNAC First Team, six to the All-GNAC Second Team, four to the All-GNAC Third Team and 48 have earned NFHCA National Academic Team honors (six were NFHCA Honors of Distinction). 

Prior to being named the head coach in 2019, Dewdney  spent the previous eight seasons as an assistant coach for the field hockey and women's lacrosse programs at Colby-Sawyer. Dewdney was an integral part of the early years of the field hockey program, helping to raise the club team to varsity status and now transform the program into a  
consistent GNAC Championship contender. 

Dewdney is a 2010 graduate of Allegheny College with a Bachelor's in Women's Studies, Dewdney played four years for the women's lacrosse team, which was regionally ranked. She earned NCAC First-Team accolades as one of the league's top defenders.

Dewdney, who is a certified personal trainer, lives in Sunapee with her husband Tyler, daughter Thea and two australian shepherds Dempsey and Fisher. The New London, N.H. native is also a graduate of nearby Kimball Union Academy.

DuquetteAssistant Coach - Julia Lanctot '21, G '22

Julia "Dottie" Lanctot enters her fourth year on the coaching staff for the 2025 season after being a student-athlete at Colby-Sawyer for the past five years. 

Lanctot finished her career as one of the best in the field hockey program history ranking tied for third all-time in points (62), fourth in goals (22), second in assists (18) and fourth in game-winners (6). Dottie had her best season in 2021, dishing out a program-record six assists to go along with 10 goals good for seventh in program history. 

Lanctot was also a NFHCA Scholar of Distinction four times at Colby-Sawyer, a 2021 Wynn Jesser McGrew Scholar-Athlete Award winner and was the 2021 GNAC Woman of the Year. 

Lanctot graduated Colby-Sawyer with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration before continuing into Colby-Sawyer's fifth-year M.B.A. program, receiving her graduate degree in 2022. 


 


LampertAssistant Coach - Courtney Lampert '18 MSES '24

Courtney Lampert will enter her seventh season with the women's lacrosse program at Colby-Sawyer in 2026, while continuing to be on Emily Dewdney's field hockey staff for the second year in 2025. Lampert is a 2018 graduate of Colby-Sawyer College with a bachelor's degree in nursing. In 2024 Courtney graduated with her masters of exercise science.

Courtney was a four-year member of the women's lacrosse team and was one of the program's top defenders in history. In her career Courtney started 53 games, securing 59 ground balls and causing 31 turnovers. Lampert helped the Chargers make the NAC Championship for the first time in 2016 as well as making another appearance in 2018. Lampert was a two-time NAC All-Conference selection making the second team in 2017, before making the first team in 2018. 

Upon graduating from Colby Sawyer in 2018, Courtney jumped right into coaching lacrosse in the upper valley for the Lebanon youth programs. Lampert also continues to coach at MACH 1 Lacrosse 

Lampert currently resides in Sunapee, where she currently works as a registered nurse at Dartmouth Hitchcock.
