2022-23 Accolades: Hanson had five top-three finishes for the Chargers in 2022-23. Heather started the year with two second place finishes on December 10th at the Plymouth State Winter Classic. In the Panther Invite on February 4th, Hanson placed in second in the 400 meter at a time of 1:07.67. In the GNAC Outdoor Championships Heather brought in gold in the 3000 meter steeplechase finishing at a time of 12:29.28. Hanson ended the year at the Williams Final Qualifier in the 3000 meter steeplechase finishing in second place at a time of 12:27.55.

2021-22 Accolades: Hanson had nine top-three finishes for the Chargers in 2021-22. Heather also holds a school record in the 4x400 indoor track & field meter relay along with Kara Keiper, Ashley Keleher and Grace Walsh. The record was broken on February 26th in the NCAA DIII New England Indoor Championships where the team finished in 16th place with a time of 4:21.13. Hanson added a big day on May 1st in the GNAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship ending with three second place finishes in the 10K, 3000 meter steeplechase and 4x800 meter relay. Heather was also awarded the Chargie for Female Newcomer of the Year after a successful three-sport year for Colby-Sawyer. 

PRIOR TO COLBY-SAWYER: Graduate of Barnstable High School and was a Cape and Island League Champion and MVP in lacrosse. Hanson was also a two-time all-star and team captain in lacrosse, cross country and track & field.
