Biography

In 2008: Pond is a strong competitor for the Chargers, in both running and field events. At TCCC Invitational, she finished second in the pole vault at a height of 7'6.00” and third in the shot put at 29'05.00”. As a runner, her best day came at the Eastern Connecticut Invitational where she finished second in the 800m (2:54.64) and fifth in the 100m hurdles (19.02). Pond also qualified for the New England Championships at the United States Coast Guard Academy in the heptathlon, where she placed seventh.

Personal: Daughter of Richard and Nancy Pond. Majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.
