As a senior: Shay was named to the NAC First Team. Spencer finished her career as one of the top goaltenders of all-time at Colby-Sawyer and has a school record 32 wins. She also ranks in the top ten in saves and goals against average. In 2012, Spencer led a Chargers defense that surrendered only three goals during conference play. She ranked 11th in the nation with an. 886 save percentage.
As a junior: Shay was the starting goalie for the Chargers in 2011. She had a school record 11 wins, which included tying a school record with eight solo shutouts. She also played significant minutes in the team's other two shutouts. For her efforts, Shay was named to the All-NAC Second Team.
As a sophomore: Shalyn played in 16 games as the Colby-Sawyer goalkeeper. She recorded four wins, which were all shutouts. Shalyn tallied 1381 minutes in between the posts and now has a career goals against average of 1.33 after two season, which ranks fifth all-time in school history.
As a freshman: Shalyn earned her first collegiate start in net on September 1 against Worcester State. She made 10 saves in that game. Shalyn started in five other contests and allowed only six goals in six games.
At Natick: Spencer was a three sport star for the Red and Blue. She played three years of lacrosse, three years of soccer and four years of ice hockey. Shalyn earned the soccer coach's award in her senior year and was an ice hockey all-star.
