NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer men's lacrosse program made history on Saturday against Emmanuel with
James Masterson scoring the teams first ever goal.
Rapid Recap:
- The Saints would strike first on a goal from Chase Greenlaw. First Year Jackson Cleveland (Falmouth, Maine) was tested early as he made seven saves in the first quarter. Four different Chargers would record 2 ground balls each.
- Evan Thomas (Sudbury, VT.) would lead the way in the second quarter picking up three ground balls while Brett Bouvier (Amherst, N.H.) would add a couple as well. The Chargers would also rip three shots in the quarter in search for their first goal.
- The Chargers defense would force 20 turnovers from the Saints, causing 12 of them. It wasn't until the fourth quarter where James Masterson (North Kingstown, R.I.) would net the first goal in program history.Â
Inside the Numbers:Â
- The Chargers would record a season high 7 shots, while grabbing a season high 26 ground balls.Â
- Cleveland would pick up a new career high, 19 saves in net for the Chargers.
