WESTON, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer College field hockey team produced a historic offensive performance on Saturday afternoon, cruising past Regis College (Mass.), 12-0, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action in Weston, Mass.

Colby-Sawyer set an aggressive tempo from the opening whistle, striking four times in the first quarter. Junior Brooke Farquhar (Gorham, Maine) opened the floodgates at 4:12 off a feed from senior Kylie Walden (Bellingham, Mass.) before sophomore Jillian Fredette (Weare, N.H.) converted an assist from junior Sophia McAdams (Derry, N.H.) at 9:46. Sophomore Zoe Dries (Windham, Maine) added an unassisted marker at 12:50, and senior Abby Olden (Belchertown, Mass.) cashed in off a Dries setup just 29 seconds later to build a 4-0 cushion.

The Chargers matched their scoring output in the second frame, striking four times in under five minutes. McAdams scored at 24:53 off a pass from first-year Savannah Therriault (Lebanon, N.H), followed by first-year Sophia Spingola's (Jaffrey, N.H.) first collegiate tally at 26:02 via first-year Makenna Houston (Canaan, N.H.). First-year Madison Garrant (Hampton Fall, N.H.) capitalized on an assist from sophomore Reese Holcomb (Essex Junction, VT.) at 28:17 before Holcomb added an unassisted goal at 29:33 to extend the lead to 8-0 at the break.

First-year Laurali Shisler (South Berwick, Maine) kept the momentum rolling in the third quarter, finishing a setup from sophomore Olivia Watson (Danvers, Mass.) at 40:00 to stretch the margin to 9-0.

Colby-Sawyer closed out the contest with three fourth-quarter scores. Farquhar notched her second of the day unassisted at 56:23, Garrant found the cage again off a feed from Shisler at 58:14, and Therriault capped the scoring with an unassisted tally with 16 seconds remaining.

Ten different Chargers factored into the scoring sheet, including four players notching their first collegiate goals (McAdams, Spingola, Garrant, and Therriault).

Farquhar buried two goals to increase her team-leading season total to 18.

Garrant also tallied a two-goal performance, recording the first multi-goal game of her collegiate career.

Dries and Shisler each posted multi-point outings with a goal and an assist apiece.

The Charger defense and goalkeeping unit held the Pride completely off the scoreboard to secure the team's third shutout of 2026.

With the victory, Colby-Sawyer improves to 9-1 overall and remains perfect in GNAC play at 3-0.
