Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

CHARGERS DROP SECOND STRAIGHT AGAINST MONKS

Standish, ME – The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team traveled to play Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday for their second conference match of the year.  

Rapid Recap: 

  • In the 46th minute, Sydney Gallop scored the first goal of the game after being assisted by Lelia Weir. 

  • The Chargers would respond by taking three shots from Ardolino, Van Wickler, and Lauren McKee. (Littleton, N.H.) 

  • In the 67th minute, Abbey Laney would put the Monks up 2-0 off an assist from Lelia Weir. 

Inside the Numbers: 

  • Goalkeeper Gabriela Calidonio (Flager Beach, Fla.) posted a season-high of 5 saves on Saturday. 

  • Ardolino would go on to make her 54th consecutive start for the Chargers on Saturday. 

Up Next: 

The Chargers return to New London and will play under the bright lights of Sally Shaw Veitch Field on Tuesday at 7pm when they take on Keene State. Tuesday's game will also be celebrated as Faculty Appreciation, and Youth Soccer Night.
