CHARGERS WRAP UP CONFERENCE PLAY WITH 8-1 WIN OVER FALCONS

New Haven, Conn. – The Colby-Sawyer field hockey team closed out their GNAC regular-season schedule on Wednesday by winning 8-1 at Albertus Magnus. 

Rapid Recap: 

  • Alexis D'Angelo scored a goal for the Falcons eight minutes into the game. 

  • Gaudette scored her first goal of the game in the last seconds of the first quarter. 

  • With the 2-1 lead, Brooke Farquhar (Gorham, Maine) added two goals in the last three minutes of the second quarter. 

  • Less than a minute into the second half, the Chargers added a goal as Gaudette secured her second goal and Jillian Fredette (Weare, N.H.) assisted the goal. 

  • Fredette scored her second goal ten minutes later to give the Chargers a 6-1 lead. 

  • Farquhar scored her third of the day in the fourth quarter assisted by Cecilia Ponzini (Windham, N.H.) 

Inside the Numbers: 

  • Gaudette's two goals brings her to 4 on the year, and helped her surpass the 50 career point mark. 

  • After the hat-trick, Farquhar has scored 16 goals in the last six games. 

  • McAdams recorded her first assist of the season on Wednesday. 

Up Next: 

The Chargers travel to Schenectady, New York to play Union College on Wednesday at 6pm. The non-conference game will be the last regular season contest for the Chargers.
