CHARGERS WIN BIG ON SENIOR DAY

New London, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer field hockey team played Regis College on Homecoming and Senior Day on Saturday. 

Rapid Recap: 

  • Kylie Walden (Bellingham, Mass.) assisted Brooke Farquhar (Gorham, Maine) for the game's first goal in the first quarter, putting the Chargers up 1-0. 

  • Jillian Fredette (Weare, N.H.) assisted Farquhar in the second quarter, giving the Chargers a two-goal lead. 

  • Two minutes later, Farquhar assisted Zoe Dries (Windham, Maine) for the third Charger goal of the day. 

  • Moments after the halftime break, Fredette assisted Abby Olden (Belchertown, Mass.) for the Chargers. 

  • Five minutes later, Ava Bennett (Hampstead, N.H.) scored for Colby-Sawyer. 

  • Farquhar assisted Taylor Gaudette (North Conway, N.H.) with four minutes to go in the third quarter. 

  • With five minutes to go in the game, Gaudette assisted Olden for the last goal of the game. 

Inside the Numbers: 

  • Saturday was the fourth game of the season where Farquhar had two assists. 

  • Addy Araneo (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) made 4 saves for the Chargers and earned a shutout. 

  • Gaudette recorded her season-high of three points with one goal and one assist. 

Up Next: 

The Chargers will travel to New Haven, Connecticut on Wednesday to play Albertus Magnus College at 4:30pm.
