Box Score STANDISH, Maine – Reigning Great Northeastern Athletic Conference (GNAC) co-goalkeeper of the week junior Alexis Lebreton (Bangor, Maine) stopped 12 shots, however the Chargers came up short losing by a 2-0 final to the Monks.
Rapid Recap:
- Junior Thea Alberti (Wilmington, Mass.) had the first shot on net for either team challenging Adia Grogan who made the save in the 9th minute.
- Lebreton continued to impress tonight, making big saves including back-to-back saves in the 31st minute.
- Saint Joseph's College of Maine got the first score of the game as Aaliyah Wilson-Falco found the far corner of the net beating a diving Lebreton.
- In the second half the Monks defense took control of the game only allowing one shot over the final 45 minutes of action.
- The home team got the insurance goal in the 80th minute as Alicen Burnham found the ball off a stellar save from Lebreton for the putback score.
Notes & Notables:
- The Chargers were out shot by a 27-3 margin and did not register a corner kick.
- Alberti, first year Halle Pletzer (Barre, VT) and sophomore Kara Keiper (Peterborough, N.H.) registered the shots for the visitors.
- Colby-Sawyer held the GNAC's fourth highest scoring team in Saint Joseph's (Me.) to only a pair of goals. This marks the lowest scoring output for the Monks at home since October 2nd.

The Chargers women's soccer team's season comes to an end finishing the 2021-22 campaign with a 4-10-1 record. Colby-Sawyer will either end the season ranked 9th or 10th in the GNAC finishing with a 4-8-1 conference record.
