PAXTON, Mass. - October 12, 2019 - Colby-Sawyer first-year
Sydney Jimmo (Shelburne, Vt.) recorded a hat trick to help the women's soccer team to a 4-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory at Anna Maria on Saturday afternoon.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 6-8 overall and 3-4 in the GNAC. The Chargers will host Saint Joseph's (ME) on Wednesday. Anna Maria drops to 3-8-1 overall and 0-6-1 in conference action.
Jimmo scored the natural hat trick with the first three goals of the match. Her first tally came in the 16th minute when she finished a pass from senior
Raina Ceryak (Naugatuck, Conn.).
In the 31st minute, Jimmo notched her second goal of the game from a free kick.
Late in the second half, the Chargers were awarded a penalty kick which Jimmo stepped up to the spot and converted for her hat trick.
Colby-Sawyer added a fourth goal in the 77th minute off the foot of first-year
Kelsey Cranston (Ipswich, Mass.). The play was set up by first-year
Hannah Marquis (Weare, N.H.).

Alexis LeBreton (Bangor, Maine) picked up her second win in a row and first clean sheet. She made five stops. Alice Yokabaskas (Farmingdale, Maine) allowed three goals and made 10 saves in 75 minutes for the AMCATS, while Rachel Matloff (Grafton, Mass.) finished the match and allowed one goal.
Colby-Sawyer outshot Anna Maria 25-8 and had a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
