Women's Soccer Earns Clean Sheet at Suffolk, 2-0

BOSTON, Mass. - September 15, 2018 - The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team earned a 2-0 shutout at Suffolk in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Saturday afternoon.  

Today's match was the first-ever meeting between the two teams. 
 
Colby-Sawyer improves to 2-3 overall and 2-1 in the GNAC. The Chargers will host Norwich on Wednesday. Suffolk drops to 1-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play. 

The Chargers scored a goal in each half en route to the victory. Abbie Sansoucy booted the ball from 35 yards out over Allison Rodrigues gloves to give the visitors a 1-0 edge. Morgan Keene set-up Sansoucy's first goal of the season.
 
A breakaway by Hannah Fields in the 59th minute extended the Chargers lead to two goals. Leah Dupuis recorded the assist on Fields' fourth goal of the season.

Oona Bond picked up the win after stopping all six shots she faced. Rodrigues finished with seven saves for the Rams. 
 
Each team had 14 shots.
