Box Score FRANKLIN, Mass. - October 4, 2018 - The Colby-Sawyer field hockey team defeated Dean College, 8-0, in a non-league game Thursday afternoon.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 8-4 and will host Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opponent Regis on Saturday at noon. Dean falls to 1-6 on the season and will travel to Johnson & Wales on Tuesday.
The Chargers scored four times in each half to defeat the reintroduced program from Dean.
Alie Jones scored a pair of goals in the first four minutes of the contest before
Julia Lanctot gave Colby-Sawyer a 3-0 advantage at 7:06.
Lauryn Masse then recorded her first collegiate goal in the 16th minute to put the Chargers in front 4-0.
In the second half, Colby-Sawyer received goals from
Bella Robinson and
Marissa Nance, while Lanctot added her second of the game. Also scoring, was
Abbey Halloran who recorded her first collegiate goal off a feed from Nance.
Hadley Woodfin was credited with a pair of assists and
Rachel Fisher had one.
Julia Carr got the start in goal and earned her first collegiate victory. Amari Dias made 12 saves for the Bulldogs.
