Women's Soccer Drops GNAC Quarterfinal at Johnson & Wales

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - October 26, 2018 - The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team fell at Johnson & Wales, 10-0, in Friday evening's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament quarterfinal. 

Johnson & Wales improves to 14-6-1 and will play the winners of Saint Joseph's (ME) and Simmons in the GNAC semifinals on Wednesday. The Chargers end their season at 7-8. 

The contest was scoreless for the opening 31 minutes, but the Wildcats scored three times before the end of the half to take control of the match. 

The home team put across seven more in the second half to secure a spot in the GNAC semifinals. 

Emily Zeblisky and Olivia Cairrao led JWU with a pair of goals apiece. 

Oona Bond made a season-high 16 saves for the Chargers. Colleen Lynch had three saves in 77 minutes of action, while Liz Kenney finished the match and made one stop.
