KEENE, N.H. - September 10, 2016 - The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team fell at Keene State, 4-0 at the Owl Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon.
The Owls improve to 3-1 and will play at Framingham State on Wednesday. The Chargers drop to 1-2 and will host Lasell on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
The match was scoreless for the first 39 minutes, but the home team finally struck at 39:40 with what proved to be the game-winning goal off the foot of Sierra Trzepacz. Keene State then added three more goals in the second half to secure the 4-0 victory.
Colby-Sawyer sophomore
Abbie Sansoucy led the team with two shots on goal.
Sam Mitchell played the first 59:25 and allowed two goals with three saves.
Marissa Williams saw her first action in goal this season and played the remaining 30:35. She allowed two goals and made four saves.
The home team held a 15-2 advantage in corner kicks and a 21-10 edge in shots.
