LEICESTER, Mass.- September 19, 2015 - Colby-Sawyer senior
Brittany Grandbois (East Barre, Vt.) netted the first hat-trick in program history as the Chargers defeated Becker, 4-1 on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field.
Colby-Sawyer evens its record to 3-3 and will play Bay Path tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. at Elms College. Becker drops to 1-5.
Grandbois began the scoring 22:10 into the game when
Taylor O'Connor (Franklin, N.H.) set her up near the left post for her fourth goal of the season.
Grandbois netted her second goal of the game in the 43rd minute when she gathered a rebound in front of the Hawks net, tipping it past Gabrielle Gallo (Northport, N.Y.) for the 2-0 lead.
Paige Viens (Middlebury, Vt.) put Colby-Sawyer ahead 3-0 when she put back a rebound next to the left post.
Grandbois complete the hat-trick in the 52nd minute on an assist from
Jordan Teixeira (Exeter, N.H.) to make the score 4-0.
The Hawks avoided the shutout in the 66th minute on Brittany Bebeau's (Harrisville, R.I.) first marker of the season. Gabrielle Gallo finished the game with 16 saves while teammate Nikolle Storey (Cumberland, Maine) registered a defensive save.

Jodi Dumayne (Claremont, N.H.) played the first 56:40 of the game, turning away all five shots she faced.
