NEW LONDON, N.H. – November 3, 2014 – The Colby-Sawyer College women's soccer team has earned the top seed in the 2014 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) tournament.

The Chargers (11-5-1) enter the tournament on a nine-match win streak and will host intrastate rival New England College on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Kelsey Field. The Pilgrims (12-5-3) are the tournament's fifth seed and advanced to the semifinals after upsetting fourth seed UMaine-Farmington 2-1 in overtime on Sunday.

Colby-Sawyer earned a 1-0 road win at New England College in the previous meeting of the two teams on September 27.

The Chargers (11-5-1 overall) claimed the top seed in the conference tournament after compiling a perfect 9-0 record in NAC play and will earn a bye in Sunday's quarterfinal round. Second-seeded Castleton (11-6-1 overall, 7-1-1 NAC) will also earn a bye in the quarterfinals.

Husson (10-7, 7-2) claimed the No. 3 seed, while UMaine-Farmington (8-8-1, 5-3-1), New England College (11-5-3, 4-2-3), and Johnson State (8-8-1, 3-5-1) earned the No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 seeds respectively to complete the six-team tournament field.
No. 2 seed Castleton will host the winner of the Husson vs. Johnson State quarterfinal contest.

Semifinal winners will square off for the conference championship on Saturday, November 8, at a time to be determined at the site of the higher seed.

The NAC Champion will receive an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship.
