Box Score NEWTON, Mass. - October 19, 2013 - The Colby-Sawyer field hockey team lost at Lasell, 5-0 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contests on Saturday afternoon.

The Chargers drop to 6-9 overall and 1-6 in conference play. The team wraps-up a four-game road trip on Wednesday at Simmons. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
The Lasers are 9-7 overall and climbed to 3-3 in the NAC.
Samantha Smithers notched three goals and Cristina Wilson and Ainslee Thompson each scored to propel Lasell to the victory. Nikita Soares tallied three assists to help key the Lasers attack.
Alexa Comesanas provided most of the offensive threat for the Charges, firing three shots and forcing a pair of saves on the afternoon.
The Lasers opened quickly, with Smithers notching her first goal of the game 3:17 into the first frame to give the Lasers a 1–0 lead on an assist from Nikita Soares. Smithers connected for her second goal on a pass from Courtney Braman in the 22nd minute before Soares fed Cristina Wilson for a goal just before the half to send the hosts into intermission with a 3-0 lead.
The second half opened with another quick goal by Samantha Smithers on a feed from Nikita Soares, and in the 54th minute senior Ainslee Thompson's unassisted goal provided the final margin of 5-0.
Lasers goalie Taylor Sheehan tallied four saves to post the shutout, while Chargers goalie
Jodi Dumayne stopped 11 shots in the game.
