NEW LONDON, N.H. – September 11, 2012 - The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, as Gordon scored the game's lone goal in the 21st minute for a 1-0 victory.
Gordon is 4-0, while the Chargers suffer their first loss of the season and drop to 4-1.
Gordon freshman Jamie Breton (Concord, N.H.) scored the lone goal of the game in the 21st minute when she beat her defender and found the cross corner of the net. The goal was her first collegiate tally.
Junior goalie Kari Christensen (Standish, Maine) made three saves and earned her fourth clean sheet of the season for the Fighting Scots. Senior keeper
Shay Spencer (Natick, Mass.) recorded five saves for Colby-Sawyer.
The Chargers will play their first road game on Friday at New England College. Game time is 3:00 pm. Gordon will host Salem State on Thursday at 4:00 pm.
