Women's Soccer Downs Husson 2-1

BANGOR, Maine - October 20, 2012 - Freshman Tallon Tomasi (Berkshire, Vt.) scored her second game-winning goal in a week to lift the Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team to a 2-1 win at Husson on Saturday evening. 

The Chargers improve to 11-2-4 on the season, tying the single season wins record for the fourth time. Colby-Sawyer also improved its North Atlantic Conference (NAC) record to 7-0-1. Husson drops to 7-12 overall and slides to 7-2 in conference play. 

Husson took an early lead 7:44 into the game off a free kick from Becca Jones. 

Michelle Upham knotted the game in the 37th minute with her third goal of the season.

The game remained tied into the half and for the first 40 minutes of the second frame. With five minutes to go, Tallon Tomasi connected with the go ahead goal. The goal was her second game-winner in a week and her fourth tally of the season. 

Shay Spencer made three saves in the win, while Jessica Poulin stopped five Colby-Sawyer shots in the loss. 

Colby-Sawyer travels to Castleton on Tuesday for a 4:00 pm match to decide the top seed in the upcoming NAC tournament.
