LEICESTER, Mass.-  September 3, 2011 - The Colby-Sawyer field hockey team fell at Becker 3-2, in the team's second straight overtime contest.

Becker got their first goal of the game when Brooke Cote (Fitchburg, Mass.) scored her first goal of the season on an assist from Stephanie Dixon (Rockport, Mass.). Colby Sawyer answered back in the 30th minute on an unassisted goal by Jillian Dervishian (Malden, Mass.).

The Chargers took their first lead of the game when Katharine Kessler (Newport, N.H.) assisted on goal off the stick off Molly Prudden (Andover, Mass.). The Hawks tied the game 2-2 in the 47th minute when Victoria Sirchia scored her second goal in as many games.

The two teams took the 2-2 stalemate in overtime where Victoria Sirchia set up Michelle Griczika (Barre, Mass.) near the left post for the game winner. Sirchia's assist was her 100th career point.

Colby Sawyer goalkeeper Colleen O'Hurley (Weare, N.H.) made two saves in the loss, as the Chargers fall to 1-1 on the season. Becker goalkeep Samantha-Jo Dilkes (Little Falls, N.J.) made eight saves, as the Hawks improved their record to 1-1.
