Jennifer LaChance Taylor was an integral member of the 2009-10 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship Team that made the program’s first appearance in the NCAA Tournament. She collected 107 career wins with 53 coming in singles and 54 in doubles. She ranks t-5th in total wins, fifth in singles and eighth in doubles. Jennifer’s accomplishments are more impressive as she played primarily at the #1 or #2 singles flight and the #1 doubles spot, which means she always played against the opposition’s best.
An inspiration to her teammates, Jennifer worked just as hard in practice as she did on game day. The perseverance paid off for Jennifer as she was named to the CCC Singles Second Team three times, the CCC Doubles First Team three times, the CCC Doubles Second Team once and the CCC Singles Honorable Mention Team once.
During Jennifer’s career, the Chargers went 59-13 overall and a posted a 36-4 conference record. She then contributed to the program as an assistant coach for seven years and the team won five conference titles in that span.
Jennifer was also successful in the classroom, resulting in a Nursing degree, and was twice named to the CCC All-Academic Team.
