Ken Pape

Pape enters his second season as the head coach of the varsity women's rugby program.

"I am extremely excited to join Colby-Sawyer College as the first varsity head coach," said Pape. "Colby-Sawyer has a tradition of excellence that I hope to continue and build upon as we move into varsity status. I would like to thank the search committee, who were very helpful throughout the process, providing valuable information about the college and surrounding area. I would also like to personally thank Bill Foti, Pete Steinberg, Pat Moroney, Rebecca Mussemeci and Chris Reed as they were all invaluable during the process. My family and I are happy to become part of the Colby-Sawyer family."

"We're very excited that Ken Pape will be the head coach of the women's rugby program as we transition to varsity status for the 2018-19 season," said Bill Foti. "His talent for teaching, a proven track record and enthusiasm for rugby will be of great benefit to our student-athletes. His extensive contacts in the rugby community will be instrumental to our recruiting efforts."

Pape joins the Chargers from Rutgers University where he spent the past four years at the head coach. He also was a USA Rugby Girls High School All-Americans assistant coach/analyst and head coach of the Empire GU All-Stars. Previously, Pape served four years (2010-14) as the Set Piece and Attack coach at the Monmouth Rugby Club and held a two-year head coaching stint at Seton Hall University from 2005 to 2007.
