First-year Shannon O'Connell (Peabody, Mass.) was second overall, out of 94 runners, and the top first-year runner to lead the Colby-Sawyer women's cross country team to a GNAC Championship on Saturday. She was named GNAC Cross Country Rookie of the Year. O'Connell covered the 6k course in a time of 23:58. She also earned All-GNAC First Team honors by placing in the top seven.
