Mathieu won all four of his matches in a 1-1 week for the Chargers. He began the week with a pair of victories in a 9-0 win over Johnson. He teamed with Gustav Jigrup at the top doubles flight to win 8-0 and then he defeated his No. 2 singles opponent without dropping a game. In a tough 6-3 loss to Nichols, Mathieu was responsible for two of the Chargers' three points. He and Jigrup earned an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles. In the singles match of the day, Mathieu came away with a marathon come-from-behind win at the second flight over Guilherme Barbosa. After dropping the first set 6-2, Mathieu won the next two in lengthy tie-breakers. He took the second set 7-6 (15-13) and then the third 7-6 (14-12).
