Welch helped the women's swimming and diving team to its second straight meet victory on Saturday at Gordon. She was victorious by more than a second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:06.07. She added a second place finish in the 50 backstroke at 31.36. Welch then combined with Anna Zdziarski, Meagan Thomsen and Meghan Mamlock to win the 200 medley relay in a time of 2:01.56.
